Do I need an .SRT lyric file?

Not at all. You can create lyrics from scratch — either by timing them manually or using AI sync.

If you already have a timed .srt file, you can upload it directly — look for the small upload icon in the bottom left corner of the Lyrics panel, next to the Create Lyrics button.

If you have plain text lyrics, click the Lyrics placeholder and choose Create Lyrics — from there you can sync with AI or time each line manually. For a full walkthrough, see How do I create a lyric file?
