# Do I need an .SRT lyric file?

## Not at all. You can create lyrics from scratch — either by timing them manually or using AI sync.

If you already have a timed .srt file, you can upload it directly — look for the small upload icon in the bottom left corner of the Lyrics panel, next to the Create Lyrics button.
