How to sync lyrics with AI
Use AI to automatically time your lyrics to your song, then fine-tune the result in the Lyric Editor. No SRT file needed.
This works best when you have lyrics as plain text — copied from a website, a notes app, or anywhere else.
Step 1: Add your audio track
Click add audio next to the Track placeholder. Upload your file directly or pick one from the Asset Library. Select the part to preview once audio is processed.
Step 2: Open the Lyrics placeholder
Click add subtitles next to Lyrics. A small panel will appear — click Create Lyrics.
Step 3: Paste & Sync your lyrics
The "Add & Sync Your Lyrics" window will open. Paste your full song lyrics into the text field, with each line on its own row. With your lyrics pasted, you'll see two buttons at the bottom:
Manual sync — time each line yourself
Sync with AI — lets the AI analyze audio and place the lyrics on the timeline
Click Sync with AI. The AI will go through your song and set an initial timing for each line. From here, you'll be able to review and adjust anything that needs a tweak.
Step 5: Review and fine-tune in the Lyric Editor
You'll land in the Lyric Editor with your lyrics already placed on the timeline. Play through the song and check that each line lands where it should. A few adjustments are normal — especially in sections with fast lyrics, harmonies, or less distinct vocals.
Useful controls for fine-tuning:
Space — play / pause
Q — move the next line's start to the current time
E — end the selected line at the current time
S / D — slow down or speed up playback
H — show all keyboard shortcuts
When you're happy with the result, click Save in the bottom right corner. Once saved, close the Lyric Editor — this applies your lyrics to the video and takes you back to the editor.
